REFLEXOLOGY

Today Reflexology has become an increasingly popular form of complementary treatment and is recognised by many health organisations.

It is an extremely effective and pleasurable means of treatment. Reflexology involves stimulating nerve endings known as reflex points on the feet and hands.

In reflexology every part of the body corresponds to a point in the feet.

HOW IT WORKS

Using only their hands the therapist applies gentle pressure to the feet to stimulate the reflexes. A trained reflexologist can detect minute crystalline deposits or imbalances in the reflexes.

By working these points, blockages in the body can be releases and the free flow of energy is restored promoting better circulation reduced tension and better elimination of toxins from the body.

What happens in a treatment?

Sessions last 45 mins. The first session is a little longer as the therapists will take your case history eg details of your lifestyle, stress, diet and fitness levels in order to provide you with an individualised programme of treatments. The reflexologist will then treat you as you relax on a couch.
